Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large turnip(s)
  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 8 potatoes
  • 4 Mettenden
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly nutmeg
  • some vegetable broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

simple and delicious

Peel and dice the turnip, carrots, and potatoes. Place everything in a pot. Add the mettenden sausages. Cover everything completely with water and simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove the mettenden sausages from the pot. Mash everything else and season with salt, plenty of pepper, and, to taste, nutmeg and vegetable stock. Serve the puree with the mettenden sausages.
