Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 150 g lean bacon
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 250 ml broth
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Peel the potatoes, boil them, and cut them into chunks. Wash and shred the lettuce, then dice the onions and bacon. Fry the onions and bacon in a pan until golden brown. Add the flour and deglaze with the stock. Bring to a boil and stir well. Add enough milk to make a creamy sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix in the chopped potatoes and then carefully fold in the lettuce. Let stand for 5 minutes. This goes very well with scrambled eggs.
