Seafood gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g seafood, mixed, frozen
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • 2 shallots (small onions also work)
  • 200 ml milk
  • 200 ml crème fraîche
  • 10 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp thyme, fresh or dried
  • 25 g butter
  • 20 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Mediterranean, simple

Preheat the oven to 190°C (top and bottom heat). Simmer the seafood in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. In a saucepan, reduce the wine and onions for 3 minutes. Combine the milk, crème fraîche, cornstarch, and thyme and add to the wine mixture. Stir until it thickens slightly. Mix the glaze with the seafood and divide it between 4 terracotta dishes (180-200 ml). Sprinkle with the breadcrumbs and sprinkle with the butter. Bake for 20-25 minutes on a medium heat.
