Seasoning Syrup – Concentrate

The perfect seasoning syrup – concentrate recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 ml Water
  • 3 Teabag Black tea
  • 500 g Sugar
  • 500 ml Blood orange juice
  • 1 small Cinnamon stick
  • 2 piece Star anise
  • 8 piece Cardamom pod
  • 10 piece Cloves
  • 10 piece Cinnamon blossoms
  • 30 g Orange peel
  • 1 Lemon

To prepare

  1. First prepare a strong black tea – let it steep a little longer so that it tastes really strong! meanwhile prepare all the other ingredients and thinly cut the peel from the lemon with the peeler

preparation

  1. Now get the tea bags out of the tea – add orange juice and sugar to the tea – then add all the spices listed above, the orange peel and the lemon peel and let everything simmer together for at least 30 minutes aromas develop
  2. then take out the spices and the lemon peel – fill the spice syrup into clean bottles using a funnel – if you like, you can pour a little orange peel into the bottles (but it is only for decoration purposes, it does not taste good)

and this is how the spice syrup is drunk …

  1. Anti-alcoholics just dilute it with hot water – the syrup tastes great even without wine thanks to the wintery spices – those who want to drink it with mulled wine (white or red of your choice) first heat the wine and then add a strong one Add a shot of spicy syrup (you can usually do without sugar as the syrup already contains plenty of sugar)
