Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 350 g seitan (medallions)
  • 200 g smoked tofu
  • 200 g tofu with basil
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • Mustard
  • Sauce thickener
  • olive oil
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Vegetarian

Cut the seitan and tofu into larger or smaller cubes, as desired, and fry in olive oil in a sufficiently large pan. Meanwhile, dice the onion and add it to the pan. However, don’t add the onion too early, as it tends to blacken very quickly. Finally, chop the tomatoes and add them to the pan. Once everything is well browned, deglaze with the water and bring to a boil. Stir in the mustard and season with salt and pepper. Finally, thicken the sauce to the desired consistency with a little sauce thickener. This goes well with noodles or dumplings.
