Semolina Balls
The perfect semolina balls recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Ingredients: (English name)
- 200 g Flour
- 200 g Semolina
- 2 Sachets 7 g dry yeast (yeast)
- 500 ml Water
- 250 ml Sunflower oil
- Icing sugar
- Liquid honey
- Mix the flour, semolina, yeast and water well with the whisk. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for approx. 1 hour and then stir again well. Heat sunflower oil (250 ml) in a saucepan, remove a portion of the batter with a small oiled spoon and carefully slide it into the hot oil. If you have a little more practice, really small balls will succeed. Bake 10-15 balls golden-brown at a time and remove from the hot fat with a small ladle. Possibly degrease a little on kitchen paper. Continue until all of the dough is used up. Serve the warm semolina balls with powdered sugar and liquid honey.
