Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg pepper(s), yellow
- 750 g tomatoes
- 2 large onions
- 50 g smoked bacon
- 80 g lard
- 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
- Salt

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Paprika powder
Halve the bell peppers, remove the seeds and white ribs, wash, and cut into strips. Blanch the tomatoes in boiling water, let them soak briefly in the hot water, then peel and quarter them, removing the stems. Peel and dice the onions. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Heat the lard in a high-fat pan and fry the bacon cubes until translucent. Add the diced onions and fry them as well. Add the bell pepper strips and tomato quarters to the pan, sprinkle with paprika, and sauté the vegetables over low heat for 20 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally. Finally, season with salt.
