Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 75 ml water, lukewarm
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cube of yeast
- 250 g margarine, lukewarm
- 1 egg(s)
- 500 g flour
- 150 g sheep’s cheese, shredded
- 1 garlic clove(s), very finely chopped
- 1 bunch parsley, chopped
- Egg yolk or cream for brushing
- possibly sesame or black cumin
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
enough for approx. 16 pieces
Dissolve the yeast, sugar, and salt in water. Add to the flour along with the lukewarm margarine and egg. Knead everything well into a dough. Let rest for 1/2 hour. Divide the dough in half. Knead each half thoroughly and then roll out two thin circles of dough, approximately 40-45 cm in diameter. Cut each circle into 8 pieces (like cake slices). Fill with feta cheese, garlic, and parsley and roll up from the outside into croissants. Place on a baking sheet. Brush with egg yolk or cream. Sprinkle with sesame or black cumin seeds if desired. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (convection oven) for approximately 15-20 minutes. Delicious hot or cold.
