Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 5 eggs
  • 125 g butter
  • 125 g flour
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • e.g. powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the eggs and butter separately until fluffy. Alternately add the butter and flour to the eggs and fold in. Warm the sour cream slightly and stir it into the batter with the salt. Heat the waffle iron according to the instructions, grease it, and bake until golden brown. The amount of batter may vary depending on the size of the iron. Mix the powdered sugar with the vanilla sugar and sprinkle thickly over the hot waffles. Serve hot. Since there is no sugar in the waffle batter, it gets its sweetness from the powdered sugar and vanilla mixture. But that’s exactly what makes these waffles.
