Shortcrust Roll with Grapes

The perfect shortcrust roll with grapes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

for the dough

  • 1 piece Shortcrust pastry ready-made product (leave rolled out for 10 minutes)
  • For the filling
  • 1 piece Banana
  • 10 piece Thick dark grapes
  • 1 piece Egg (size L)
  • Lavender sugar
  • Powdered sugar
  • 10 cl. Cognac or Liqueur 43er
  1. I had absolutely no time on that day to make an elaborately large dessert that was time-consuming to prepare. Then a finished product fell into my hand – that I always have in the fridge for emergencies. A quick look in my fruit basket and then I just got started. Ultimately, it almost belongs in my series of kitchen accidents … but only visually 🙂

Preparation step 1:

  1. Take the shortcrust pastry out of the refrigerator and roll out.
  2. Mix the egg yolk and a dash of cognac. Brush the dough with it. Cut the banana into slices of the same size. Halve the grapes. Arrange nicely in the middle of the dough.
  3. Always alternating between banana and grapes. Now fold over the sides and ends of the dough and roll up. Brush again with the egg and cognac mixture.
  4. In the oven at 170 degrees for 25 minutes. Now divide in the middle and arrange nicely. Finished.
  5. The manufacturing time is as short as the description.
