Shrimp wrapped in Serrano ham

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 kg shrimp(s) (ready to cook, cooked with tail) size 16/20
  • 1 pot of basil
  • 200 g ham (Serrano ham, Parma ham or bacon)
  • Cayenne pepper
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Thaw the shrimp. Cut the Serrano ham into thirds lengthwise, creating narrow strips. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil and preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius. Wrap a basil leaf and a strip of ham around each shrimp and place on the oiled baking sheet. Finally, lightly brush the shrimp with olive oil and gently sprinkle with cayenne pepper. Roast in the oven at 225 degrees Celsius for about 8-10 minutes. Serve with baguette.
