Sicilian-style meatballs

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • ½ pack of tomato sauce, approx. 200g
  • 100 g grated cheese, e.g. Grana Padano
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

First, mix everything except the three eggs and tomato sauce. Finally, mix in the three eggs, then add the tomato sauce. If necessary, add a little more breadcrumbs until the mixture is firm enough to form small meatballs. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until nicely browned on all sides.
