Simple fitsch bean soup à la Didi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 670 g beans (green beans), with broth from the jar
  • 250 g potatoes
  • 2 Mettenden
  • 750 ml chicken broth
  • 10 g vegetable stock powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp savory
  • 1 tsp white pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

If the Mettenden sausages are frozen, thaw them in the hot broth with a bay leaf. If the Mettwurst sausages are not frozen, skip this step. Then slice them. Dice the potatoes and cook in the broth for about 20 minutes. When the potatoes are tender, add the green beans with the broth, sausage slices, and savory. Cook for about 10 more minutes and season with white wine vinegar and pepper. Arrange and serve.
