A sirt food diet promises rapid weight loss and strengthening of the immune system. We explain how the diet works and how it is carried out.

How does a sirt food diet work?

The Sirtfood diet relies on the protein sirtuin, so foods containing this protein are consumed during the diet, and a lower calorie intake is also taken into account.

  • Sirtuin is a protein that has a positive effect on muscle building and fat burning. In addition, it is said to strengthen the immune system and protect against diseases and inflammation in the body.
  • Foods that contain a lot of sirtuins include buckwheat, parsley, celery, rocket, strawberries, and blueberries, as well as small amounts of red wine and dark chocolate.
  • It is particularly important that after a sirt food diet, the diet should be completely changed to avoid a yo-yo effect. Also, the diet itself can be frustrating due to the small number of calories that can be consumed.
  • For long-term and healthy weight loss, make sure that you change your diet gently and sustainably to a healthy lifestyle.

How does the sirt food diet work?

The diet is divided into three different phases, in which special attention must be paid to how much is eaten in each case.

  • In the first phase, that is, the first three days of the diet, only 1000 calories are consumed each day in the form of juices from foods high in sirtuin. The juices are drunk three times a day and are made from foods such as apples, parsley, and arugula.
  • In the second diet phase, which lasts until the desired weight is reached, 1500 calories are consumed daily. Two juices and two main meals are consumed daily.
  • In the third phase of the diet, about 1800 calories are consumed daily. It serves to stabilize the weight. In addition to foods containing sirtuin, other foods are slowly being reintroduced into the diet.
  • In the long term, the diet should therefore be changed gently in order to maintain the weight achieved.
