Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork schnitzel or chicken schnitzel
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 250 ml cream
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 onion(s)
  • n. B. Paprika powder, sweet
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the meat into thin strips (about 1/2 cm thick). Mix the flour with a little salt and pepper and toss the meat in it. Peel and dice the onion. Deseed and core the bell pepper, wash it, and dice it. Brown the sliced ​​meat vigorously on all sides in hot oil over medium heat. Add the onions and diced bell pepper and sauté. Sprinkle with paprika and stir briefly. Add the cream and stock. Stir to combine, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and season with salt and pepper. Serve the strips with rice or pasta.
