Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g lentils, cooked
- 50 g cashew nuts
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp maple syrup
- ¼ tsp liquid smoke
- ¼ tsp thyme
- ¼ marjoram
- salt and pepper

a quick, sophisticated spread
Dice the onion and garlic. Grind the cashews. Heat a little oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Stir in the lentils, marjoram, and thyme. Combine the contents of the pan with the ground cashews, maple syrup, liquid smoke, and soy sauce in a blender or food processor and process into a paste. Thin with a dash of vegetable oil if necessary. Season with salt and pepper.
