Instructions
Working time approx. 6 minutes; Total time approx. 6 minutes
for Kesselwart’s daughter and all children who want to surprise their parents for breakfast
Carefully pierce the base of an egg (the thicker end) with a sewing needle. Place the pierced egg in a small pan of lukewarm water. The egg must be completely submerged. Cover the pan and bring the water to a boil. As soon as the water boils, turn the heat down to the lowest setting, watch the clock and pay attention: after 3-4 minutes they are soft-boiled, after 5-6 minutes they are soft-boiled, and after 8 minutes they are hard-boiled. Carefully remove the egg from the pan with a slotted spoon and immediately hold it briefly under cold running water before placing it in the egg cup. A pinch of fleur de sel goes perfectly with it. It tastes delicious even cold.
