Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 gr. can/n beans, white with soup vegetables
  • 100 g bacon
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 30 g flour
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper
  • Vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Drain the beans in a sieve and rinse thoroughly. Finely dice the bacon and onion. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the bacon and onions until translucent. Dust with flour and sauté. Deglaze the roux with the vegetable stock, adding vinegar to taste. Add the bay leaf and beans and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and season the beans with salt and pepper. This is best served with spaetzle.
