South Tyrolean Apple – Gröstl …

The perfect south tyrolean apple – gröstl … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 3 Potatoes
  • 1 Fresh onion
  • 30 g South Tyrolean bacon
  • 1 Apple fresh
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chives fresh
  1. Peel and wash the potatoes and cook them in salted boiling water. Drain and let cool.
  2. Cut the potatoes into slices and fry them in clarified butter.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into fine wedges. Sauté in hot fat until translucent.
  4. Cut the bacon into thin strips. Add to the onion and fry with it.
  5. Wash the apples, quarter them and remove the core. Cut into thin wedges. Melt the butter in a pan. Briefly sauté the apple wedges.
  6. Put the potatoes, onion and bacon in the pan with the apple. Mix everything together. Season well with pepper and salt.
  7. Wash the chives, shake dry and cut into fine rolls. Add under the Gröstel.
