The perfect south tyrolean apple – gröstl … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 3 Potatoes
- 1 Fresh onion
- 30 g South Tyrolean bacon
- 1 Apple fresh
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chives fresh
- Peel and wash the potatoes and cook them in salted boiling water. Drain and let cool.
- Cut the potatoes into slices and fry them in clarified butter.
- Peel the onion and cut into fine wedges. Sauté in hot fat until translucent.
- Cut the bacon into thin strips. Add to the onion and fry with it.
- Wash the apples, quarter them and remove the core. Cut into thin wedges. Melt the butter in a pan. Briefly sauté the apple wedges.
- Put the potatoes, onion and bacon in the pan with the apple. Mix everything together. Season well with pepper and salt.
- Wash the chives, shake dry and cut into fine rolls. Add under the Gröstel.
