Spaghetti casserole with meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g spaghetti, cooked
  • 500 g meatballs
  • 1 can of tomatoes, chopped
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • 2 handfuls of cheese, grated
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • some basil leaves
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Dice the onion and chop the garlic. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Brown the meatballs in a little fat in a deep pot, then add the onions and garlic and fry – but don’t let them burn. Then add the cherry tomatoes and canned tomatoes and let everything simmer for about 20 minutes. Finely slice the basil and mix in. Finally, season the sauce to taste. Place the spaghetti in a baking dish, pour the sauce over it, and sprinkle with the grated cheese. Tear the mozzarella cheese into pieces and sprinkle it over the casserole. Place the casserole in an oven preheated to 200°C and bake.
