Spaghetti with Italian tomato sauce

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 750g spaghetti
  • 3 can/n tomatoes, pureed, with basil
  • 1 pack of Italian-style frozen herbs
  • 1 pack of garlic (frozen)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of cayenne pepper
  • 3 drops of Maggi
  • 5 drops of olive oil or sunflower oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Fruity tomato sauce

Cook the spaghetti al dente according to the package instructions. Peel the onion and slice into rings. Place in a pan with olive oil. Add the packet of frozen garlic. Sauté both until golden brown. Add the cans of passata with basil and bring the mixture to a boil briefly. Add the packet of frozen Italian herbs and stir in. Season with salt, cayenne pepper, and Maggi. Bring everything to a boil for one minute. Trim the bunch of basil and pick off the leaves. Meanwhile, drain the spaghetti. Portion the spaghetti onto plates and spoon the tomato sauce over it. Serve garnished with basil leaves.
