Spaghetti with tomatoes and mussels

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250g spaghetti
  • 120 g mussels from the refrigerated section, grilled, in oil
  • 1 can of tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp pizza seasoning
  • 1 small chili pepper(s), fresh, optional
  • some salt and pepper
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

super quick and easy

Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Finely chop the onions and sauté them in the oil from the mussels and a little extra oil until translucent. Add the finely chopped garlic. Chop the canned tomatoes and add them to the onions and garlic along with the tomato juice. If desired, add the finely chopped chili. Add salt, pepper, sugar, and pizza seasoning to taste. Allow the tomato sauce to reduce slightly. Then add the mussels and heat for 2-3 minutes. Add the cooked spaghetti and stir in the hot sauce.
