Spaghetti with tomatoes, mozzarella and basil

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500g spaghetti
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 2 packs of mozzarella
  • ½ bowl of basil
  • olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • e.g. garlic, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash and quarter the cherry tomatoes (they should be nice and ripe and not too hard). Dice the mozzarella into small cubes. Finely slice the basil. Peel and press the garlic, if desired. Combine the tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic (optional) in a large bowl. Cook the spaghetti al dente according to the package instructions, but do not rinse. Immediately add it to the bowl while still hot, over the remaining ingredients, and stir. This dish is ideal for summer, as the combination of hot and cold ingredients means it’s best eaten lukewarm.
