Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ¾ cup(s) butter
  • 1 cup(s) water, very cold
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 ½ cups flour
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • ¼ cup(s) olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup(s) raisins
  • ¼ cup(s) olives, pitted, green or black

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

For the dough, knead the four ingredients together and store in the refrigerator. Chop the onion, bell pepper, tomato, and olives. Hard-boil and chop the eggs. Heat oil in a deep pan. Brown the meat. Add all the other ingredients except the eggs, olives, and raisins and braise for 20 minutes. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Let the mixture cool. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out circles about 10 cm in size. Place 1-2 tablespoons of filling on one half of the circles and fold the dough over. Moisten the edges with a little water and press the dough down with a fork. Brush the meat parcels with egg or canned milk and bake at 200ºC (top/bottom heat) for 15-20 minutes or fry in oil.
