Spanish tortilla

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 m.-sized potatoes
  • 5 eggs
  • some salt and pepper
  • some garlic
  • e.g. ham (e.g. Serrano or cooked ham) or sausage (chorizo)
  • n. B. Oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes. Fry in the deep fryer until golden brown and almost cooked (approx. 8-10 minutes, depending on the fryer). Then remove and let cool. Season the eggs with pepper and salt (and garlic if desired) and whisk. Add the potatoes to the egg mixture and mash them lightly with a fork (if desired, you can then add Serrano ham, chorizo, etc.). Heat the mixture in a non-stick pan (approx. 20 cm in diameter, depending on the size of the tortilla) with a little oil over medium heat until the egg is no longer runny on top. Slide the tortilla onto a large plate, flip it over, and slide it back into the pan. Continue frying for about 5-7 minutes. Delicious hot or cold. It tastes best on a white bread roll with fried peppers!
