Spicy Lentil Soup with Sucuk

Ingredients
 

  • 500 g Lentils
  • 1 bunch Soup vegetables
  • 1 Potato
  • 1,5 liter Vegetable broth
  • 2 Onions
  • 3 Chili peppers
  • 1 ring Sucuk
  • Oil
  • Tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Peel the onion and sauté in the oil until translucent.
  • Chop the soup vegetables, peel and chop the potatoes, cut the chilli peppers very finely and add everything with the lentils to the onion and sauté, stir in tomato paste and deglaze with the broth.
  • Let the lentil vegetables simmer gently for about 30 minutes.
  • Peel and finely dice the second onion, dice sucuk and fry both in oil, add to the lentil vegetables, season with salt and pepper and serve.
  • If you like, you can also add vinegar and sugar to the lentil soup
