Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g millet
- 650 ml water
- ¾ tsp herbal salt (alternatively table salt)
- 25 g butter
- 3 tbsp herbs, finely chopped (parsley, chives)
- ½ tsp curry
- 50 g grated cheese (of your choice)
- 3 eggs
- ½ cube of vegetable stock
- some nutmeg
- possibly tomato(s)
- possibly ham
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Bring millet to a boil with water, spices, and diced vegetables. Simmer in a tightly covered saucepan over low heat for 15 minutes. Stir in finely chopped butter, herbs, eggs, and half of the cheese. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. If desired, layer the tomato slices and diced cooked ham. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Bake at 200°C on the second rack from the bottom for 20-25 minutes. Serve with green salad (endive, lettuce) and, if desired, brown sauce.
