Spicy onion and pepperoni sucuk sauce with a hint of orange

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 200 g onion(s), red
  • 200 g onion(s), white
  • 1 orange(s), juice
  • 1 pepper, red
  • 1 Sucuk
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper, ground
  • 500 g meat broth
  • 500 g vegetable juice, homemade
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel the onions, quarter them, and slice them into strips. Halve the sucuk lengthwise and slice them into slices. Halve the peppers lengthwise, deseed them, and slice them into thin strips. Sauté all prepared ingredients in hot oil for about 3-5 minutes. Deglaze with meat broth, vegetable juice, and orange juice, and season the sauce with sea salt and pepper. Bring to a boil once and simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Season to taste and serve.
