Spicy orange rice

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 stalk(s) Celery
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 100 g rice (long grain rice)
  • 5 tbsp orange juice
  • 150 ml water
  • 20 g raisins
  • 1 bay leaf
  • e.g. pepper, white
  • Nutmeg, grated
  • little salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion. Clean, wash, and finely chop the celery. Sauté the diced onion and celery in oil. Add the orange juice, water, raisins, and bay leaf. Season with pepper, nutmeg, and a little salt. Bring the rice to a boil and simmer, covered, over low heat. Finally, remove the bay leaf.
