Spicy paprika beef pan

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g beef
  • 4 bell peppers, green, long, hot
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 1 potato(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika paste
  • 1 tsp Pul Biber
  • 1 tsp chili powder (isolated)
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • n. B. water
  • Rapeseed oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Sear the beef in a little oil and then add water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil and cook until tender (I took about 20 minutes; it may take longer depending on the meat). Meanwhile, cook the potatoes for about 15 minutes, or until well cooked. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the peppers and potatoes into pieces of any size. When the meat is done, add a little oil to the pan and fry the meat with the garlic. Then add the onion and fry, stirring constantly. Add the tomato and bell pepper paste, along with the pepper and potato pieces. Cook everything thoroughly for about 2-3 minutes. Add the spices, pour in a little water, and bring to a boil briefly. Then simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. The spiciness can be adjusted to taste with pul biber and isot. This is definitely something for fans of spicy food. Rice goes well as a side dish. The spices can be found in Turkish supermarkets.
