Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
In a marinade with red wine, the garlic gets an attractive color, good for snacking or as a tapa
Separate the garlic cloves and peel. Finely slice the chilies. Mix the red wine, red wine vinegar, and water together. Add the chilies, sugar, cloves, bay leaves, salt, and thyme. Marinate the garlic; it should be completely submerged in the liquid and leave for 24 hours. The next day, cook the garlic in the marinade for 10 minutes. Let it cool and then transfer to jars. Drizzle each jar with a drizzle of olive oil and seal the jars. This garlic tastes delicious as a tapa, in salads, or on a cheese platter. It will keep for several months.
