Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g shepherd’s cheese of your choice
  • 1 tbsp Italian herbs, dried
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • lots of olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 10 minutes

Prepare a container. Dice the feta cheese, sprinkle with the spices, and mix thoroughly. Empty the cubes into the container and fill with olive oil until the contents are completely covered. Let the cheese marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours. Pickled feta cheese tastes best when it’s fully marinated. It’s perfect as a side dish for barbecues or cold platters.
