Spicy Port Wine Plums
The perfect spicy port wine plums recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 180 g Prunes
- 250 ml Port red
- 125 ml Balsamic vinegar
- 30 g Sugar brown
- 1 tablespoon Balsamic cream

- 1 …. they are very quick to make … they go particularly well with cheese, but also with spicy meat dishes or game … packed in pretty glasses they are also ideal as a small give away … and they last approx. 6 months without any problems (if they are not nibbled or given away beforehand – laugh)
preparation
- Bring the prunes to the boil together with the port wine, balsamic vinegar and sugar – turn off the stove and cover with the plums and leave to stand for about 15 minutes – then season with balsamic cream and pour them into small, clean glasses while they are still hot – finally fill up the glasses with the port wine-balsamic sauce
