Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can of sauerkraut (750 g)
  • 2 m.-sized apples, preferably Braeburn
  • 1 cup of natural yogurt
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • some cayenne pepper
  • dill
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Squeeze the sauerkraut thoroughly and shred it in a bowl. Peel the onions and apples, finely dice them, and stir them in. Add a little oil and the yogurt and mix everything well. Season with dill and the spices and let it sit for at least an hour. The salad tastes best with a slice of black bread. If you’re trying to lose weight, you can indulge in this salad without restraint; it’s not only delicious, it’s also a diuretic, filling, and easy to digest.
