Spicy Turkey Legs
The perfect spicy turkey legs recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 Turkey drumstick
- Salt
- Pepper
- Clarified butter
- 4 Carrots
- 4 Onions
- 1 Apple
- 1 Red wine
- 1 Vegetable broth
- 1 Bay leaf
- 6 Juniper berries
- 2 Cloves
- 2 Honey
- 2 Chilli from the mill
- Wash the turkey legs, pat dry, season with salt and pepper and fry in hot clarified butter – remove and set aside.
- Peel the apples, carrots and onions, cut into slices and fry them in the gravy so that the aromas develop.
- Now deglaze the whole thing with the red wine – let it simmer a little, add the vegetable stock, bay leaf, juniper berries and cloves.
- The whole thing is now covered in the 180c. preheated oven for about 90 minutes – try if the meat is tender.
- Remove the legs, mix honey with some chilli, brush the legs with it and briefly place under the grill.
- In the meantime, pass the sauce through a sieve, season again if necessary and if you want you can thicken it a little – but this is not necessary.
