Ingredients
- 2 small Turkey legs
- 1 L Mulled wine
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1 handful Raisins
- 1 handful Hazelnuts
- 1 tbsp Almonds in pens
- 1 cups Cream
- Salt
- Pepper
- Basil
- Thyme
- Sauce binders
- 0,2 cl Brandy
Instructions
- Soak the raisins in brandy for about 1 hour.
- Put the mulled wine in a saucepan, add the nuts, almonds and raisins with the Christmas brandy.
- Peel and dice the onions and garlic cloves and add them to the mulled wine, season everything with salt, pepper, thyme and basil, add the turkey legs and let everything stand in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.
- Now bring it to the boil and let it simmer gently for about 90 minutes.
- Take the turkey legs out of the pot and keep warm.
- Pour the cream into the mulled wine, bring to the boil again and bind to a creamy sauce with a sauce thickener.
- Arrange the turkey legs on plates, pour the sauce over them and serve.
- I also had dumplings and red cabbage.
