Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 180 g minced meat substitute (minced meat crumbs, vegan)
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • ⅛ tsp liquid smoke

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Brown the minced meat in a pan without fat over high heat for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the cold water and cornstarch until the cornstarch dissolves. Then stir in the remaining ingredients. Turn off the heat and stir in the sauce. Continue stirring to prevent burning while the sauce thickens. The minced meat can then be used hot or cold.
