Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 450 g spinach (creamed spinach)
- 250 g flour
- 2 eggs
- Salt and nutmeg
- some butter
- Cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Thaw the spinach, then make a dough from the spinach, flour, eggs, and spices. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaetzle dough in batches using a spaetzle slicer or a spaetzle board and simmer until the spaetzle floats to the top. Remove the spaetzle and continue until all the dough is used up. Toss in a pan with butter and top with grated cheese, if desired. Serve with salad. Tip: Serve with fried onion rings.
