Spiral pasta with tomato and mozzarella sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 large can of tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp vegetable broth, instant
  • 400 g pasta (spiral pasta)
  • Water (salt water)
  • Salt and pepper, white
  • ½ pot of basil
  • 125 g mozzarella balls (minis)
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onions and garlic. Wash, trim, and finely dice the fresh tomatoes. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Sauté the onion and garlic. Add the canned tomatoes, bring to a boil, and puree. Add the stock and diced tomatoes and simmer for about 5 minutes. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. Wash the basil. Finely slice the leaves, reserving a few for garnishing. Drain the mozzarella. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and sugar. Add the mozzarella and basil to the sauce just before serving. Drain the pasta in a sieve and arrange on plates with the sauce. Serve garnished with basil.
