Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pasta (spirelli)
  • Water (salt water)
  • 2 cups of yogurt
  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 1 jar of pickles
  • 250 g sausage (extra sausage)
  • 250 g cheese (Gouda, Tilsiter, etc.)
  • some vinegar
  • Salt
  • some chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 20 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, combine the yogurt, mayonnaise, and vinegar (mix a little extra yogurt and vinegar and chill; you’ll need it later). Finely dice the extra sausage and cheese, as well as the pickles. Pour the yogurt mixture over the sausage, cheese, and pickle mixture. Drain the cooked pasta and let it cool. Then add it as well. Season with salt and chill for at least 3 hours. Before serving, pour over the chilled yogurt and vinegar mixture, as the rest of the sauce will have absorbed it. Finely chop the chives and use them for garnishing. We eat the pasta salad on its own or with grilled food (then just with cheese and without the sausage).
