Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g margarine
  • 550 g honey
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 pack of gingerbread spice mix
  • 15 g cocoa powder
  • 1 kg flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 12 hours 55 minutes

Gingerbread cookies in goose shape

Combine the margarine, honey, sugar, gingerbread spice, and cocoa powder. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved. Let cool. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl and knead into a dough with the salt, eggs, and the cooled honey mixture. Cover and let rest overnight at room temperature. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roll out the honey cake dough to a thickness of 0.5 cm, cut out the geese, and bake on the middle rack of the oven for 12-15 minutes. Remove from the baking sheet while still warm.
