Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 250 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites
  • 120 g sugar
  • 100 g ground almonds

Instructions

Working time approx. 50 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Christmas cookies

A shortcrust pastry is made from flour, butter, sugar, and egg yolks. This is chilled in the refrigerator for about an hour. Then, the dough is rolled out and stars are cut out. Before baking, the egg whites are beaten until stiff peaks form and the sugar and almonds are folded in. Small mounds of this filling are then placed on the stars and brushed with egg yolk. The cookies are then baked at 180°C for about 20 minutes.
