Steak Baguette

The perfect steak baguette recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Avocado cream

  • Sea-Salt
  • Olive oil
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 Clove of garlic
  • 2 x Country baguette
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1 Red chilli pepper
  • 1 Onion red
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • Sugar
  • 1 Clove of garlic

Marinated tomatoes

  • 1 Colorful mix of tomatoes – red, yellow, black
  • 50 ml Raspberry balm
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • Sea-Salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 tsp Oregano

Marinated tomatoes

  1. Halve tomatoes and marinate with raspberry balm, honey, salt, pepper and oregano. Let it stand while the rest of the dish is being prepared.

Avocado cream

  1. Scrape off the lemon and squeeze it out. Core the avocado, spoon out of the skin and mix with lemon juice and lemon zest. Core and finely chop the chilli pepper – peel and finely chop the garlic and onion. Mix everything to a smooth cream with a fork and season with salt, pepper, sugar and paprika powder.

Rump steaks

  1. Take it out of the fridge and let it warm to room temperature. Peel the garlic, chop it roughly and pound it with sea salt and pepper in a mortar to a paste. Mix with a little olive oil and massage the steaks with it.

  1. Bake the baguettes in the oven. Place the steaks in a red-hot grill pan and fry for 2 minutes on both sides. Take the baguettes out of the oven and let the meat rest in the oven at 100 ° C for a few minutes.
  2. In the meantime, cut the baguettes open and brush with the avocado cream – cut the steaks into strips and distribute them on top – pour the collected meat juice onto the baguettes as well.
