Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 700 g potatoes, waxy
  • 2 onions
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • Oil, e.g. sunflower oil

Peel and wash the potatoes, and cut them into thin sticks. Rinse them briefly again. Add oil to a non-stick pan and add the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Finely dice the onions and place them on top of the potatoes. Close the lid. First, increase the heat to high until the potatoes begin to sizzle. Then immediately reduce the heat to low, otherwise the potatoes will burn. After about 10 minutes, open the lid for the first time and turn everything over. Close the lid again and let it fry for another 7-8 minutes. Depending on the type of potato, the potatoes will need a total of 18-20 minutes to fry. Serve with a green salad and/or pickles. If you’re not vegan, you can also serve it with a fried egg.
