Steamed pepper and tomato cabbage

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • some oil
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp, levelled sugar
  • 500 g white cabbage, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp, leveled paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

delicious side dish to meat dishes

First, fry the finely chopped onion in a little oil. Then stir in the sugar and let it caramelize. Add the white cabbage and deglaze with the vinegar and vegetable stock. Mix everything well, season with salt and caraway seeds, and cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. Then stir in the tomato paste and paprika and simmer for another 10 minutes. Season with salt or a little vinegar, if desired.
