Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g cornstarch
  • 100 ml milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g strawberries
  • Butter, for the mold
  • some powdered sugar

  • Lemon balm

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Sift the cornstarch into a bowl and mix with the milk. Separate the eggs, stir the egg yolks into the milk with the quark. Whisk the egg whites with the sugar and vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form and fold into the quark mixture. Hue and wash the strawberries and pat dry. Halve them if desired and mix them into the quark mixture. Pour the mixture into a buttered casserole dish, smooth the surface, and bake in a preheated oven at 180-200°C for 40-45 minutes. After 20 minutes, cover with aluminum foil to prevent the casserole from overcooking. Once cooked, remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, and dust with powdered sugar. Garnish with sliced ​​strawberries and lemon balm leaves and serve immediately.
