Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 rolls of dough
- 6 tbsp Nutella
- 150 g strawberries, sliced, 150 – 200 g
- 6 tsp strawberry jam
- some powdered sugar for sprinkling
- some cream cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
First, use a slightly larger heart-shaped cutter to cut out 24 hearts from both sheets of puff pastry. Then, use a smaller heart-shaped cutter to cut out 12 of the hearts in the middle. For the first version, spread a little Nutella on 6 hearts (the ones without the heart in the middle), leaving a small edge. Spread a few slices of strawberries on top and then top with 6 hearts cut out in the middle. Press the ends together firmly with a fork. For the second version, spread some cream cheese on the remaining 6 hearts (without the hole in the middle), add a dollop of jam, and scatter a few slices of strawberries on top. Place the remaining 6 hearts (with the heart in the middle) on top and also press them together with a fork. Bake the puff pastry hearts in a preheated oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for 10-15 minutes. After they’ve cooled for a few minutes, they can be placed on a serving platter and dusted with powdered sugar. A few strawberries can be scattered on the serving platter for decoration.
