Strawberry Sandwich Waffles
The perfect strawberry sandwich waffles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 12 small Butter waffles
- 500 g Strawberries
- 8 Meringue dots
- 2 tablespoon Food starch
- 2 tablespoon Orange juice or liqueur
- Wash, clean and chop the strawberries and puree 3/4 of them. Save a few strawberries for decoration.
- Mix the puree with the cornstarch and simmer for about 1-2 minutes while stirring.
- Crumble the meringue and add the rest of the strawberries and the orange juice or liqueur to the puree, remove from the heat and allow to cool.
- Pour the puree on half of the waffles, cover with the other waffles.
- Now the strawberry waffles come in the freezer for about 1 hour.
- Arrange the strawberry sandwich on a plate with halved strawberries and some strawberry puree
