Finger food and party snacks

Finely chop chives or wild garlic leaves, mix thoroughly with cream cheese and crème fraîche, and season with a little lemon juice. Fill the dates with this mixture, carefully wrap them in bacon, and secure with a toothpick. Flatten the parcels slightly. Heat butter in a non-stick pan and fry the dates over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Turn them over occasionally and check for browning. Cut a slice off the stem side of the oranges to ensure they stand upright. Pierce the date stickers all around the oranges, forming a hedgehog shape, and serve.
