  • ½ tomato(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • 5 olives
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • Tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 balls of mozzarella
  • 3 eggs
  • breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Deseed and rinse the bell pepper, then dice it like the tomato. Finely chop the garlic. Slice the spring onion and olives into rings. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the minced meat until crumbly. Then fry the bell pepper, tomato, spring onion, and garlic. Add the spices and fry briefly. Add a little tomato paste, if desired. Add the olives. Let everything cool. Drain the mozzarella balls and pat dry. Using a teaspoon, make a slit in the balls and hollow them out slightly. Fill with the minced meat mixture, pressing the cheese together. Dip the balls first in beaten eggs, then in breadcrumbs, repeat twice. Heat the oil and fry the mozzarella until golden brown. Remove, drain, and enjoy.
